Arranging your vaccinations
We are only able to provide the NHS Vaccinations recommended for travel.
You will need to seek travel advice from another service, often available at pharmacies.
Please register for online services to view your vaccination history and take this with you to the Travel Service.
If you require any NHS vaccinations please provide the Practice with a list of these vaccinations and a completed risk assessment from your chosen travel service. We will then book you into the next available appointment with a Practice Nurse.
If the next available appointment is not soon enough for your travel needs then you will need to pay for the injections at the Travel Service.
You might find visiting the NHS Choices website (www.nhs.uk) helpful.
Travelling last minute
Please be aware that sometimes we are unable to deal with complicated itineraries if booked at the last minute, due to availability of appointments. We may refer you to a recognised travel clinic:
Springfield Hospital: 01245 234110
Shenfield Travel Clinic: 01245 200169
Bishops Stortford Travel Clinic: 01279 653694

Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe a very useful booklet has been published with advice and guidance to help you get the most out of your holiday. To visit please click:- http://ec.europa.eu/publications/booklets/eu_glance/86/en.pdf (this is a large document and may take a minute or two to view)
You may also wish to consider applying for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). The EHIC allows you to access state-provided healthcare in all European Economic Area countries and Switzerland at a reduced cost or sometimes free of charge. To apply, click here: https://www.ehic.org.uk
