Dispensary

Repeat prescriptions will be issued, normally for patients on long-term treatment albeit regular reviews are undertaken. Requests for repeat prescriptions should be left in the box provided in the entrance lobby. We cannot issue repeat prescriptions over the telephone. Please use the repeat slip wherever possible and allow two complete working days before collection.
It is our policy and that of the Government to issue one month's supply of drugs at a time. We dispense medicines to those patients entitled, that is those patients who live more than one mile from the nearest chemist.

Test Results
Please telephone 01245 473251 for test results after 3.00pm. Any specimens to be tested by the hospital must be brought to the surgery before 10.30am to ensure that they are in time for the hospital collection.

Contraceptive Services
We offer full contraceptive services and advice at all our surgeries, and some of our nurses are also family planning trained. We can also provide emergency contraception and contraceptive services to non-patients.

Antenatal Clinic
The midwife holds her antenatal clinic on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. The doctors also have specific antenatal appointments. Please ring to book an appointment.

Cervical Smear Screening
In line with health authority policy, we recommend a smear every three years until the age of 65, unless greater frequency is advised. To ensure maximum accuracy, it is advisable to have a smear taken between 10 and 14 days from the first day of bleeding.

Minor Surgery
All partners perform some surgical procedures, albeit you may be referred to another partner for a particular operation in which they have special experience.

Medical Examination
Medical examinations for special purposes, for example pre-employment, fitness to travel and insurance medical, may be arranged by special appointment. A fee will be payable.
