Out of Hours

Outside surgery hours Prime Care can be contacted by telephoning the main surgery telephone number 01245 473251.

How do I collect my prescription?

Prescriptions will be sent to your designated pharmacy electronically. Dispensing patients can collect from the dispensary hatch in the surgery but should not enter the building if there is another patient waiting at dispensary.

Repeat prescriptions need to be requested by the patient.

Prescriptions will be issued normally, for patients on long-term treatment, albeit regular reviews are undertaken.

Requests for repeat prescriptions should be left in one of the 'repeat prescription boxes' provided at the surgery, made by using online services or by emailing the dispensary directly using the email address below:

For information on how to sign up for online services please see the Quick Link on the top, right hand side of this page.

Repeat prescriptions cannot be requested by telephone.

Please allow 2 full working days, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed.

When 0 shows against the Issues Remaining for a drug, still re-order and your doctor will decide if any tests are needed. If tests are needed the doctor will ask Reception to arrange an appointment with you. When the doctor is satisfied with the test results, or that none are required, they will allow additional issues.  There is no need to book an appointment with a doctor when your issues are at zero.  Thank you.

It is our policy, and that of the Government, to issue one month's supply of drugs at a time. We can dispense medicines to those patients entitled, that is those who live more than one mile from a chemist.
